Instructions & Care for your Terrarium.  

1.      Make sure the bottom layers of stone and soil are moist but not soggy. Use filtered or bottled water. ”A closed terrarium recirculates water in a process similar to natural rainfall.  Moisture condenses into water drops that continually fall back into the soil.  Once your terrarium is balanced, you should see droplets form near the top of the container.  The glass will be clear otherwise.”

2.      Misting the plants / moss with a spray bottle is recommended to keep the plants moist, but not always recommended. “Misting can minimize the need for watering, but does not replace it.”

3.      Terrariums require indirect lighting. Do not keep in direct sunlight to avoid overheating and drying out.

4.      Open the top to the terrarium at least once per month for about 20 minutes to allow air circulation. “ A closed terrarium recycles its air because the plants produce oxygen in light and consume it in darkness.  It is a good idea to open the terrarium as instructed to refresh the system.”

5.     Trim of and remove dead leaves, stems or overgrowth.
